How a playlist became my emotional diary
QuietStrength is a private wellbeing app that helps you:
- Track body progress with photos stored only on your device.
- Check in with your mood and use offline white, pink and brown noise.
- Log grounding and thermal activities.
- See daily and weekly trends for weight, steps, sleep and other stats.
- Always read our articles for free – with or without purchasing the app.
Body – small habits that shift how you feel
This isn’t about six-packs, punishment workouts, or pretending you’re joining the Olympics.

QuietStrength lets you track your body in a way that feels encouraging, not overwhelming. Your progress photos stay 100% on your device, never uploaded anywhere, and they automatically show as silhouettes so you’re not hit with images of yourself on days you don’t feel like seeing them. You stay in control.
You can follow your real progress: weight, body fat, muscle mass*, plus steps, distance, active calories, sleep hours, and sleep efficiency. No jumping between five different apps. It’s all here, simple and clear.

And soon, you’ll be able to track your measurements alongside your photos, so you can see genuine change even when the scales don’t budge.
*Compatible smart scales required. Your Apple Health data powers all the clever stuff.

Mind – clarity, calm, and a little breathing space
This isn’t about fixing your mind, silencing your thoughts, or becoming some perfectly calm version of yourself.

Modern life is loud. Notifications pinging, deadlines piling up, your brain trying to juggle seventeen tabs at once… and that’s before you’ve even dealt with the emotional clutter from just existing as a human in 2025.
QuietStrength doesn’t try to fix your mind. It just gives it some space.
With simple daily mood check-ins, you can keep track of how you’re actually doing, not the version of you that says “I’m fine” out of pure instinct. Over time you can spot patterns: good days, rough days, and the days when you deserved a medal for just showing up.
And then there’s the noise tools.

White, pink and brown noise generated entirely on your device. No Wi-Fi. No data. No creepy servers.
Use it on a plane, deep in the sticks, in a hotel with walls made of cardboard, or when you’re trapped on public transport with someone loudly FaceTiming their cousin about a casserole. It works in Airplane Mode. It works anywhere.

Ground – reconnect with the world around you
Grounding isn’t magic. It’s your nervous system doing what it’s built to do.

You know that feeling when you finally kick your shoes off at the end of the day and your whole body just… exhales?
That’s grounding. It’s touch, temperature, texture, weight, warmth, cold, all the stuff your brain uses to work out “Hey, we’re safe.” QuietStrength helps you tap into that without needing a forest retreat, a yoga mat, or an hour you don’t have.
Pick what you’re doing: hot tub, sauna, steam room, ice bath, foot soak, or a simple grounding moment. Or choose a texture: grass, tiles, carpet, patio slabs, soil, sand, stone, concrete, tarmac, brick, water… even “other” if your feet have found something interesting.
Tell the app whether the surface is dry, damp, or wet (hopefully not wet carpet, unless you’ve had a very dramatic Monday), then just settle. Track how often you’ve grounded and how it affects your mood.
It’s not about perfection. It’s about feeling steady again. Even if it’s just for a minute.

A note from Steve (the creator)
I’m not a doctor. I’m not a psychologist. I’m just like you, doing my best in a world that keeps shouting advice at us from every corner of social media. QuietStrength wasn’t built to “fix” you. It’s built to support you, gently, in the middle of all the noise.
Built for real people (and yes, people like us)
QuietStrength is designed for anyone who wants simple, practical support for their body and mind including those of us whose wiring means the world can feel… a bit louder than it should.
No jargon. No judgement. Just tools that help you feel human on the days you need it most.
